Part of creating a happy childhood is having a house where there is not constant warfare over stupid stuff.

It’s OK if your child is not 100% like you and doesn’t always do every little thing the way you do it. If it’s not really important to their well-being, let them choose what they like and don’t fight about it. Save the battles for the important things.
