If your parish is dead, find a new one that is not. (Often the smaller parishes or small-town parishes are better than the large, suburban ones.) In addition to the sacraments strengthening them, a good parish can be a really good influence on your child. Sadly, it can be a really bad influence on them, too, so choose your parish wisely.
